20 weeks.

20 weeks! WHAT?!?! i don't even know what to say about that! i am halfway done with this pregnancy! CRAZY! seems like yesterday i was finding out i was pregnant! i am super excited that i have made it this far. God has definitely blessed the hubs and i with this amazing opportunity to be parents. i am a firm believer that it is a choice to be a parent. you don't have to do the deed, you know?  so, this is my opportunity to raise a child. can i tell you a secret?

sometimes this thought scares the poop out of me. i will be laying on my back, feeling sweet baby kicks, and just start crying. i know that this is a big life change...one i've been prepared to make, but still...this is HUGE!

some things i have learned about my baby this week:

{1} my baby loves justin bieber. actually, any pop/dance song. it just starts moving!
{2} my baby does not like when i shake my belly to wake him/her up to see if they are still there. i get angry kicks.

How far along?19 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: gained 5 lbs since last doctor's visit. kinda scared about the next. 
Maternity clothes? wearing more maternity clothes and some of my bigger clothes
Stretch marks? not yet. 
Sleep: horrible! i wake up five million times a night to pee or just because. my dog hogs the bed. but, i have a good book series to entertain me at wee hours of the morning.
Best moment this week: my sweet husband buying me more popsicles.
Miss Anything? HAVING ENERGY!
Movement: only when i lay down. i think i'm too active to feel it before then.
Food cravings: sugar! popsicles in particular.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not much anymore. i had the gags this week, but i think that is from my sinus infection.
Have you started to show yet: yep. :)
Gender prediction: i changed it to girl. :)
Labor Signs: no
Belly Button in or out? in
Wedding rings on or off? on
Happy or Moody most of the time: happy. 
Looking forward to: finding out the sex of my baby in 3 more days!!!

just another manic monday...

But it's Tuesday you say? Yes. But Tuesdays are my Monday. I am off all day Monday and I go to work on Tuesdays.

Anyways, I've been really thinking a lot on what my future child will be like and look like. Will he or she be sweet like Michael was when he was little? Will he or she be a hellion like I was when I was little? The Lord only knows. By I think my mama wishes for the latter.

What color hair will he or she have? What color eyes? The possibilities are endless and for really the first time in my pregnancy, I am excited about seeing what this little person will look like. We have already seen that he or she has the Prichard lips and possibly my nose. I guess we have to stay tuned and just see!

name reveal.

since my next doctor's appointment is in two weeks to reveal the gender of my unborn child, i thought i'd FINALLY share our two names we have picked. now, these names are in concrete....literally. if you've read my previous blogs, you know that when our church was still in its building process we wrote on the floors of the sanctuary--favorite scriptures, unsaved loved ones, etc. i wrote two scriptures for my unborn children who at that moment in time were just a prayer and put their initials underneath. so, if you don't like these names...well too bad. :) so, here we are! NAME REVEAL! *dum dum dum*** that was a drumroll. lol.

"lila grace" means "you are mine by the grace of God." very fitting for this baby. :) we also picked this name after this girl on friday night lights--the hub's favorite show.

colton has no special meaning besides being named after hub's favorite football player, formally a texas longhorn now a cleaveland brown, colt mccoy. and yes...we do plan on calling him colt.

asher is from the bible. it means "blessed."

so, i would love some feedback on what you think about BP's potential name. and what do you think the sex of the baby is going to be?

Sleep: between having the stomach virus and a lot of hip pain, i didn't sleep very well at all this week.
Best moment this week: shaking my belly and feeling a little pop. my baby has sass.

Movement: i'm not sure. i've felt the described pops and bubbles. but i still can't determine if that's gas. :)
Food cravings: popcorn with lots of salt. i could just eat salt out of the shaker.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not much anymore. i only get queasy if i don't eat at certain times or dry mouth.
Have you started to show yet: i thought so, but now i'm not so sure. i think i just look chunky.

Movement: i'm still iffy on this, but my doctor said that i should be feeling it in the following weeks.
Food cravings: still steak & ranch. but, here lately, fried chicken.

i used to have such a profound love of music. i miss that. i had a song for everything!! so, i figured i would take time to share a few of my favorites that i will always be loving!

i will always be {loving}... n*sync's celebrity CD. the pop odyssey tour was the first REAL concert i had ever been to! justin timberlake was my justin bieber. seriously. i was obsessed! 

i will always be {loving}... this entire CD! i seriously played this so much that it scratched. but, alas, we have found each other again! 

i will always be {loving}... restless. this was the song to describe my entire teen years. i always was looking for something new.

i will always be {loving}... the beatles! i get so lost in their music. i am even going to make a playlist on my phone of beatles songs done by symphonies to play to BP. i hope he/she has a fine appreciation for music too.

i will always be {loving}... this entire CD is good but my favorite song is "light years away" by mozella. i used to be a tad bit emo, i know.

i will always be {loving}... i've got soul, but i'm not a soldier and smile like you mean it are my favorite lyrics of all time. i'm actually humming the tune right now.

i will always be {loving}... TAYLOR! i'll buy every CD this girl comes out with. her lyrics describe in detail many events of my life. that sounds just weird, but it's true. she's got a song for everything.
